Journey to Diversity Workplaces is a non-profit organization that aims to reform the workplace and introduce progressive policies that promote harmony and growth. We are looking for volunteers who can help us with our mission and vision.
We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

- Volunteer Board Member: As a board member, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, governance, and financial management of the organization. You will also participate in board meetings, committees, and events. You should have experience in leadership, governance, fundraising, or advocacy. You should also have a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and safety in the workplace. The time commitment is about 10 hours per month.
- Volunteer Digital Content Producer: As a digital content producer, you will be responsible for creating and editing content for the organization’s website, blog, podcast, and social media platforms. You will also research topics, interview guests, and collaborate with other content creators. You should have experience in content creation, editing, or journalism. You should also have creative, analytical, and technical skills. The time commitment is about 1 – 2 hours per week.
- Volunteer BIPOC Board Member: You serve on the board of J2DW and provide guidance and support to our mission and vision. The board member is expected to bring their unique perspective and experience as a member of the Black, Indigenous, or People of Colour (BIPOC) community to the table. They are responsible for ensuring that the organization’s policies and practices are inclusive and equitable and that J2DW meets the needs of the communities it serves. The board member is also expected to participate in fundraising and outreach activities and to help build relationships with other organizations that serve BIPOC communities.
- Volunteer Fundraising Consultant: Journey to Diversity Workplaces, a non-profit organization that promotes diversity and inclusion, is seeking a volunteer fundraising consultant who can identify and contact potential donors, sponsors, and partners, pitch and sell fundraising products and services, negotiate and close deals, and build and maintain long-term relationships. The ideal candidate should have a passion for social justice, excellent communication and sales skills, and experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing. The volunteer will receive an honorarium of 8% commission on all donations made through their efforts, as well as recognition, access, and opportunities from the organization.
- Volunteer Chief Financial Officer: The Volunteer CFO manages our accounts, pays our summer students, and provides advice, governance, and oversight in policy-making, strategic direction, and leadership for the organization.
- Volunteer Google Ads & Google Ad Grant Specialist: J2DW is a nonprofit organization that aims to create a diverse and fair workplace for its employees. They are seeking a volunteer Google Ads & Google Ad Grant Specialist who can help them with online marketing campaigns for their blog and podcast. The ideal candidate should have experience with Google Ads and Google Ad Grants, as well as strong communication and analytical skills. This is a remote and flexible position that offers a chance to make a positive impact in the world.
